I already had a power strap with a cam buckel witch use to keep me in the boots. With the tru-staps it is has if the boots are welded on me. It is really a game changer.
I got these along with the liner sleeves for my full tilt descendent 8s. I have a huge forefoot and long toes (30.5) but I have chicken legs and ankles so I often have to buy high-volume boots that are great for the front half of my foot but not the back. Being able to tie down both the liner and the tongue separately has changed the feeling of my boots completely. I feel like the power transfer to my skis is way more precise. I never experienced shin bang in the FT's to begin with but I could see how this product would eliminate it in a traditional 4 buckle boot. The quality of the strap is great as well, a nice thick strap with a heavy duty cinch strap, and the wide neoprene front looks and performs great. I did not end up using the included hardware because the stock strap on the FT's is ******* on and not riveted but it is nice to have extras laying around. All in all great products and highly recommend.
These are awesome! Huge upgrade over the stock straps on my Dalbello Panterras. Definitely can feel the flex respond in my boots way more as advertised. Before, I was having lots of trouble getting the liner in full contact with my shin. Really appreciate the convenience of having a t-nut and screw included for installation.
I just got my first pair of Full Tilt boots and wished I had better contact with the wrap liner at my shins. I got very thick calves so cinching down the liner was a bit of a problem. the Dualstraps were the perfect solution, but the outer cinch strap didn't reach onto the front of the boot. So I used the original FT strap mounting points to offset the strap so it'll sit square on the front of the boot, easy fix! But given this problem, it would be nice to see an XL version for large calves. Also the mounting hardware did not come in my box, but it didn't end up affecting me. Perfect solution for me!
I have really narrow calves and always struggle to get a tight enough fit from the upper cuff of the boot. I used this strap in combination with the tongue pad to help solve that, and it works incredibly well. FYI, I ski a tecnica race boot (Firebird) and I could not get the boot tight enough on my leg in the STOCK form, without the strap! With the dualstrap, they are plenty tight!!I I did also make some modifications that were really easy to do: 1. I moved the little "retainer" strap that holds the excess strap length to the other side of the strap than the ones it comes on. I found that with the cam strap all the way cinched down, having the strap retainer on the other side was way more logical in that it actually holds the strap from flapping around. 2. My calves are so narrow that I would tighten the main cam strap down all the way and still want to tighten it more, but the strap ran into the stitching on the back of the strap and could not tighten any more. I wound up cutting the stitching off one side of the sewing on the back of the strap so that I could really get the strap tight enough. It seems like there is still even plenty of strength holding the back together but just to be sure I added a dab of epoxy on the back to reinforce. Additionally, I can't say enough about the amazing customer service from Craig.
