Volume Reducer

£10.00

The Volume Reducer is a fast, effective way to tighten up boots that feel loose, tired, or just a touch too big. Whether your liners have packed out over time or your fit was never quite perfect, this simple addition brings your boot back under control.

Placed beneath the liner on the boot board. (Zeppa) Or trimmed to sit under your footbed, the Volume Reducer takes up dead space without altering foot position or support. The result is improved contact throughout, better feedback, and a more precise feel on snow.

Made from durable 3 mm EVA foam, it adds subtle lift and cushioning while effectively reducing internal volume, often the equivalent of half a shell size.

Ideal for:

  • Packed-out or ageing liners

  • Slightly oversized boots

  • Improving overall foot contact

  • Fine-tuning fit without downsizing

Trim to fit. Install in minutes. Feel the difference immediately.

  • Who needs footbeds?

    +

Every skier should have a footbed! If you are skiing without one, you are seriously limiting your ability to ski at your best. A footbed is the solution to the majority of ski boot fit issues. They are the key to being comfortable and give you the support you need to go out and send it.

  • How long will my footbeds last?

    +

The support and shape of the footbed will not ever deteriorate! However, the shock absorbing foam will compress and pack down over time. To experience the best comfort and full shock absorbing capability of your footbeds, its recommended you replace your footbed every 100-150 ski days. This will be a similar lifespan to your boot liners.

  • Why should I buy a Patriot Footbed?

    +

What sets Patriot Footbeds apart is how they support your feet when you ski. The spherical arch shape and dynamic frame means the footbeds will work with your feet for increased stability and instant response to your skis. Unlike our competitors who make static and flimsy insoles, Patriot footbeds are a robust and shock absorbing platform that will transform your ski boots. Seriously, the proof is in the pudding. I urge you to try them and let us know your feedback. You will be stoked!

  • Will they work with my aftermarket liners?

    +

Yes, all Patriot's gear is built low profile to suit any boot and liner configuration you choose to ski.

  • What the best size liner sleeve for a 25.5 boot

    +

25.5 really is the transition size of the sleeves. We suggest if you have a High Volume (HV) boot, that you will likely see better success with a M/L size sleeve. For regular and narrow width boots, the Small sleeve will fit best and you will see great results once the liner adapts with 1-3 days of use.

  • What is the difference between the ski and snowboard liner sleeve?

    +

There is no difference in the sleeves construction. They will work perfectly on either boot. We find that snowboarders are more likely to utilise the included J bars into the rear pocket for extra grab.

  • How long will my order take to ship?

    +

Between 1-10 days dependant on where you are located, but we have 3 shipping locations to make sure we get your gear to you as fast as possible.

Works as expected

I have extremely narrow, low volume feet, and Patriot Volume Reducers helped me to achieve a great fit in Nordica ProMachines.

Volume Reducer - Fine but can't fix an oversized toe box

Bought a hi-vol boot and regretted it by the 2nd day... The Volume Reducer helps a bit, but my toes are too loose inside the toe box...

Perfect For Volume Reduction in Ski Boots!

Love these! I have had a lot of trauma on my left foot so I have to buy High Volume ski boots. Now my right foot is normal and only needs a Mid Volume ski boot. However, I cannot seem to find a manufacturer that is willing to sell me a HV left boot and a MV right boot......... ;) So I use these volume reducers in my right boots and it works out perfectly. Great products, responsive owner and employees. Will always buy from Patriot for my ski boot customization needs. Thanks again Craig!

Much better than Salomon reducer

Helped quite a bit since Salomon didn’t have half sizes and their volume reducer was too small and didn’t have a sticky back.

fine tune the volume of your boot

volume reducer is flat-does not change foot or footbed other than to raise it all..move your foot up in the boot so you don't have space, don't have to buckle down to try to close up that space (it won't anyway). In a race fit, since the edge of your foot is raised-you may or may not need to grind some plastic along foot edge..you can test this out in advance of purchase with some thin strips of any material. trim to fit..I like to trim a little off at the toes for some space there., if you do be sure to glue down the spacer so it does not just slide forward. The material in these add a bit of insulation as well...adding well placed strips of gorilla tape to bottom can further make small adjustments, Use with the footbed product, which you can heat mold..precision of fit matters if you are to get precision in your skiing.
