First Impressions – Better Than Expected
Honestly, I had no idea what to expect. I didn’t even know the price point going in. When I opened the box, I was immediately impressed. And yes, packaging matters. When most aftermarket liners arrive in a plastic bag and these come in a proper box with presentation, it sets a tone.
Other Boots Tried:
I tried the Patriot liner in the Lange RS130 MV and the Rossignol Vizion 130 LV. The volume of the liner, made the Lange, even in the "MV" the boot felt almost a size small. With the Rossignol Vizion 130 LV, the low volume of the Vizion felt a little more roomie than the mid volume of the Lange. While I could ski the Rossi out of the box, the Lange would need a little more work, specifically around the mid foot, but definitely workable and both felt as good or better than the stock ... specifically the Lange which the sock liner never worked for me.
World Cup Entry or Leave in the Shell:
Either or, your choice, or at least that is what I did with my Head Kaliber 130 DD. I started by doing the full lave up prior to entering the boot and with the trusted Boot Beast, I slid in like buttah. I then put the liner in the shell with the laces loose and entered the boot as I would with a traditional stock liner and easy-peasy. I I just laced up while in the shell. Third option is to just leave the liner in the shell without the laces and that would work too ... but I like the snugness of the laces.
Initial Fit & Build Quality:
Fit was very good—think Intuition… but on steroids.
Design-wise, these are impressive:
-Solid plastic reinforced cuff collar
-Integrated lace loops if you prefer that sort of thing while using a world cup entry
-Reinforced heel pocket
-Aggressive red pull tabs on heel and tongue on the cuff and back of the liner
The Power Flex does not look or feel like a sub $200 budget liner. Not at all. Again, if you told me these retailed for $400, I wouldn’t question it.
On-Snow Performance:
First days out were cold by Tahoe standards—high single to low teens temps. Both were days I would normally be running my Hotronic XLP BT heaters, but the footbeds I used didn’t have elements installed yet or I might not at all… Add in the fact that the first day we were shadowing the women’s clinic at Mt. Rose (translation: lots of standing around), and this was a perfect storm for frozen toes. And day two was a crisp day at Alpine Meadows with a few SkiTalk’ers. And… my feet were warm. Not “acceptable.” Not “manageable.” NOT “L.L. Bean fuzzy slider warm either” Actually very comfortable. That alone is notable. Many aftermarket liners, and even plenty of stock liners, don’t pull that off.

What a game changer! My liners had flattened out in a pair of one-year-old boots. The shells were still in good shape and had another season or two left in them. I replaced the liners with Patriot Power Flex, and it blew my mind. Not only were they amazing, but they were even better than my original liners. If you have loose liners or need an upgrade, you must try these!
Very good quality and fast delivery - good instructions for use - fair price.
Wow, thought I was up for new boots. 3 year old Hawx 130, 6 seasons, ovr 100 days ski, the last 5 were just painful. Inner boot tongues were worn thin, pressure pain on in-step and nerve on top. Have been sussing out this inner, so ordered and got it really quick. Placed my custom footbeds in and the fit was really too tight and uncomfortable. Oh wait, best to take out the generic footbed out, as per instructions. Once I taken them out and in with my mine, a bit adjustment, a world of difference, like new. Now got to head up to Hotham on the last weekend for a ski test to make sure it all fits and comfortable for Japow. Thanks. Oh, the included footbed was a bonus which I didn't realise.
A great quality product, I recovered some boots that I thought were unsuitable, even though they were new. I am very happy, I no longer feel cold or pain. Congratulations
