I purchased the 27.5 powerflex liner to replace the ones in my 2015 Panterra Diabello boots. I ski about 50 days a year so the old liners were packed out bad. My choices, either new liners or new boots.
The Patriot liners fit the boot shells nicely. I didn't use the lace system as it would be impossible for me to get in my ski boots even with the laces fully loose. I also removed the little strap lace eyelets as they were getting caught in the shell after tightening everything up. So far I'm impressed with the fit even without heat molding. It's spring and my season is finished so I will do the heat molding step in the fall before the next season. The boots feel a bit stiffer and I can't wait to give them a test.
The only minor snag... I didn't realize that the liners were delivered with a standard cheaper footbed already installed. I installed the Patriot footbed mistakenly over the top of the cheepo one. Much to my surprise I couldn't get my foot to even think about going into the boot (even barefooted). I was briefly disappointed and wondering now what have I done. I removed the Patriot footbed and retried the boots on and finally realized my mistake and removed the cheepo footbed. All good now with a real Patriot footbed installed!
I own a pair of custom carbon boots (Dodge ski boots from Vermont), they are now 6 years old and the liner had become too compressed. When I decided to replace the liner, they were out of stock of their own and I stumbled upon Patriot, the price was about the same so I went for it. They are lower volume than my OEM liners but other than making it more difficult to get into the boots, it did not create any new pressure point and I did not even thermoformed them like the previous one. The season is now over for me but I got 4 sessions in and I can attest that my skiing improved instantly with these liners. I have much better control and precision, it is especially noticeable while skiing super tight glades where you kiss a tree if you miss the turn. I used to tighten the buckles to the max, with these I'm half way in and they feel tight. Very pleased, I now expect another 6 years out of my carbon shells.
Outstanding! Bought new boots for the 2025 season and after 20 days of skiing I had to max clamp on the buckles because the liners packed out quickly. Bought the power flex liners and what a difference! Great hold on the foot and ankles without the fit kit and a tight fit on my skinny calves. Had to use the laces to prevent the tongue from slipping out of the shell too much during entry (probably because of the brand) and removal but it is so worth it to have a secure fit and great performance at a reasonable price!
I replaced 6 year old packed-out stock liners with these - it was immediately better and after 5 days of skiing was just fantastic. Better control and comfort.
Finally got to try these out. Confirmed, these liners are the real deal and a steal for the price. Can’t imagine zipfit or intuition could be better than these. Did not feel any discomfort anywhere in my boot throughout the weekend. Everything felt 3x better. Can’t recommend these things enough. Used in a K2 BFC 100 flex. Want to also try these in my Rossignols which I stopped using because the liners were so bad in them.
