I wish I had an experience to share. The resorts closed down before I could apply them to my liners for a test drive. As it is, it looked like I may have trouble fitting the liners and my foot back into the boot. We will see next season, thanks for the opportunity, NT
After messing around with sticking things to my liner/foot/sock I have finally found a viable, easily customisable, effective and honestly-priced solution for optimising the fit around my ankle/Achilles. Massive shout out to Craig for the efficiency in handling and planning my shipment plus the copious amount of feedback and advice before and after the purchase.
Delivery to Germany took under a week. These sleeves have helped to solve the problem I had in my skitouring boots, they have stopped me getting a blister on my heel skinning up and give me a more solid feeling on downhill. You have to be careful putting the liners back into your boots if you remove them for drying but only a small difficulty. Great solution guys!
I want to personally thank Craig Hemsley for the fore site in such a simple but creative solution. I have chicken legs/ankles and thus always need to attach L or C pads to my inner boot to lock down the ankle/heel which all good skiers know is critical to performance. This eliminates the sticking/glue residue, and periodically re-attaching the pads. Also, you can adjust at-will or experiment w/o having to buy new pads since it is a one shot deal if you peel and stick. Furthermore, on the boot w/ my slightly larger foot the Liner sleeve did the trick; no need to use the pads.
Overall this liner sleeve did the job of snugging up my heel pocket and hold. I did not have to use the ankle locks supplied. Only issue is that the top portion of the sleeve did make it more difficult to put on my boots and the upper portion above my heel made it more difficult to remove my boot as it catches my heel. A minor thing I noticed but definitely not a deal breaker. Overall I am please with the product and performance.
