The tool makes it easier to get into my ski boot, which has a 130 flex. However, I still have to stand, pull back on the inner shell with the tool, and pull the boot’s tongue in the other direction to get my foot in. And with all of that it takes a fair amount of strength to get my foot in. On the other hand, before the tool I often needed another person to help get my foot in.

Great Start for a Ski Boot Opening Tool (Review from a skiier 40+ years)
Before finding this tool, I actually went down to my basement to create something that would help me get my boots on/off. Funny I had thought about the same concepts as the Shuvvie. I was anxious to try this tool...Although it somewhat works, but I believe it can be improved. My boots are older & worn in, so plastic is not as stiff as a new pair. For me it just bends over the 1.75" plastic boot shell that Shuvvie grabs and doesn't spread boot open much (see photo's.) Tool is more helpful to hold boot down.
Kudos to the Shuvvie! Can't wait to see improvements!

Still too much stuggle
I tried the tool in the comfort of my house and it really didn't help much in getting my foot out of the boot.
