I have been skiing for 50 years and work in ski shops throughout high school and collage and have extensive boot fitting experience. I put these beds in a brand new pair of boots thinking I was going to be in pain all day and constantly unbuckling my boots in the lift line. I WAS SO WRONG! I only had to make one little adjustment to the tongue. First time ever with a non custom molded and ground footbed and I still had the same feel and performance I was use to. Highly recommend these!
My original foot pads left much to be desired. I don't think you would call them footbeds. A friend suggested I purchase Patriot footbeds. I ordered a pair and my boots fit so much better and are more comfortable now.
I have a very nice pair of boots that are just a little too big. Bought the heel lock and volume reducer combo and they are completely transformed. I figured this solution would get me through the season but I don't know why I couldn't stick with this setup indefinitely. Awesome products.
Helped contour around my heel and ankle and took up the negative space that my liner didn’t.
Worked great! I was skeptical at first I’ve been through several snowboard boots. With my high arches it kept my foot solid in place. Definitely recommend
Boots fit so much better and are very comfortable. I highly recommend Patriot Footbeds,
I love how the velcro sounds! If only we could could could get more snowww up on the mountans
been using these for about a month, really holds the ankle heel at back of the boot, highly recommend!!
I wish I had the shuvvie back when I was coaching in Canada in minus 35 degrees celsius. Nowadays I rely on it every day I ski. I wouldn't go on a ski trip without it. It's a must have—great time saver when helping the kids too, especially on those cold days.
Patriot is a first class company!! I accidentally ordered the wrong size footbeds for my son and had to rectify the situation immediately due to my son’s impending ski trip. Patriot notified me they remedied the problem and sent the correct size to me as I was placing the item I. Return mail! This is above and beyond the call of duty for customer service!!! Thank you Patriot Footbeds for your outstanding customer service and the support and TLC YOU GIVE TO YOUR CUSTOMERS! Forever a customer!!!!
The product makes sense but it does not work if you have high volume boots to fit your fat feet. It renders the easy entry useless and reduces the volume back to a regular fit and then some.
I got these tongue shims for my race boots (Atomic Redsters) because the fit of my cuffs wasn't as tight as I wanted it to be (even with the booster strap). I followed the instructions and preheated them with a blow dryer before sticking them on. I also added a 4 beads of superglue for good measure. The fit is now perfect (i.e. tighter without changing the forward lean of the boots) and the shims haven't budged after 16 + hours of shredding. I am very pleased with this product.
If the Velcro strap on your boots is in good shape these aren’t needed They don’t do anything that a good Velcro strap doesn’t do. The so called ratchet strap is not a real ratchet buckle. It actually is even more difficult to tighten than the Velcro one on the boots. Save your money unless your straps are worn out and need replacing
My boots are only a season or two old but allowed my heels to move far more than I’d like. Rather than opting for another boot, I thought I’d give the liner sleeves and foot beds a go.
Fitting the liners to the sleeves was easy, getting the liner back into the boot required a whole new level of determination due to the design of the shell and no fault of the liner sleeve.
The foot beds fit perfectly and were super simple to install.
With footbeds and liner sleeves in, it was time to get the boots on and see how they feel. The boots were only marginally harder to get into, but immediately felt more snug around the ankle and comfortable under foot.
First ride in them there was a noticeable difference in edge feel and control which builds confidence to push the envelope harder.
Would I recommend Patriot footbeds and liner sleeves? 100% yes, and so much better value than new boots.
Skiing in the Tecnica Mach1 130 pre Gripwalk boot. Out of the box they had a loose heel that I remedied with a couple of shaved down pieces of closed cell foam strategically placed and gorilla taped to hold my heel in position. It worked better than out of the box but when I saw these heal liners I had to try them. I'm glad I did! I've skied 3 days in them now and I felt so locked in yesterday and comfortable and really saw an improvement in my carving ability. My boots just felt so much better than previous seasons.
Just ordered up the Freerides, if the liners gave that much satisfaction I can't wait for a new and upgraded footbed.
THANKS Patriot!
Liner sleeves did actually what they said they would do. My feet are now snug with no extra movement and again have the feel of the snow. Thank you !
I have only skied one day so far with the liner sleeves, but I can totally attest that it did eliminate the heel slipping that I was feeling prior with my boot liner.
I love this foot bed! It's made a world of difference in the comfort and perormance of my ski boot.
I’ve only spent 2 days on them and immediately noticed a difference. I have low arches, nearly flat footed, and had some ankle and arch pain. Swapping out footbeds has almost completely remedied the pain. I took the time to heat mold them and I’m thinking they’ll just get better as the season continues.
Unfortunately the Liner Sleeves made my feet ache, as others have experienced. I went through the process of taking off my boots after a few runs and then trying them again, but my feet were still painful. I guess they are not for me.
